Make a To Do Before You Die List
We always have great ideas of things we want to do, but we think about them and then we get busy and completely forget what they were. The thing about making a list is that it not only helps you remember them, but also makes them something real. Now they can actually be made into goals. I started making my list and before I knew it, I was checking things off of it as done. You just never know when the opportunity comes up and you say, hey, that's on my list, do it!!
Ever had to try and figure out what you were going to do for the weekend or where you were going to go for vacation? You are so stressed at that point all the creativity has kind of left you. So you pull out your list and the next thing you know, you are feeling excited and moving in forward motion to living. Just the act of making the list is stress relief. Get yourself a glass of tea, coffee, wine, rum and coke, whatever it is you choose, sit down with a journal and pen and have at it. You will find that after you get started, the stuff will just keep rolling out. The most meaningful things usually start coming later on in the list, so keep it going.
I carry my journal around with me, and whenever it strikes me, I pull it out and start writing. Its important to have it in a journal. Go to the bookstore and buy one that inspires you by shape or design. After I started making mine, I found that I was even more alert to the people I met who had already done that or wanted to. Finding a common bond with them to share a new friendship. New experiences and new friends are also great stress relief. I never knew its value until I started mine. So don't delay, start making your list!!!
